Five Social Media Tips for Small Businesses That Always Work
Tip 1. Be Visually Appealing
With short attention spans on the rise, be sure to add short-form videos to your social media content. It will boost engagement and is perfect for businesses with products to show off. If you don’t have video content available, don’t worry! Many businesses are taking their photo content and using it for video, think of a glorified PowerPoint, but more flashy, with lots of spinning text and great trending music to back it up, you’ll jump into reels on Instagram like a professional!

2. Dominate on one Platform

Find out where your target customer spends most of their time online. Then pick one social platform and dominate on that one. Claim your profiles on the other networks but focus most of your time on that one. Set a goal for what defines you’ve dominated a platform before you start to give another account more attention. Some platforms perform better than others to achieve your sales goals. For example, you have an Instagram account that has a 60k audience, but only 10% of that audience is buying your product. You now create a Facebook page with a 15k audience and you’re selling to 50% of your audience, over and over again.
3. Stand Out

Social media is personal. Show your personal brand first, and then your business second. You need to convey your persona. Get above the noise. Be different by being authentically YOU.
4. Start a conversation

Ask questions and respond to the answers. Keep your audience engaged, by providing valuable posts and direct them to your website for more information.
5. Keep CTA’S Clear

A CTA (call-to-action) is what you want the person reading your marketing message to do. Whether it is for them to click to your website or enter a giveaway, just be very clear.
